Ignoring Ceiling Fan Dust 
When was the last time you cleaned the dust off your ceiling fan? Keeping your fan clean is essential to cutting down on dust in your place. Think about it. If your fan is spinning around and full of dust, the dust is flying around, too. And a fan in the “off” position with a layer of dust isn’t a good look either. So get a long-handled duster or even a dry duster and don’t forget to clean your ceiling fans.
Drains Clogged With Hair 
This is especially true for your shower drain. Not only is a drain clogged with hair an eyesore but taking a shower with standing water is just a no. This is weird but common and can be easily remedied with a hair drain catcher. It’s easy enough to pull your hair out after each shower, which would also prevent a clogged shower. Either way, get that hair out so you can fully enjoy your shower.
Shoe-Cluttered Entryway
We all need shoes, most of us have too many, and if you live with four seasons, you really do need a wide array of footwear. But how do you store all these shoes? If you’re piling them on a mat, chances are your entryway is cluttered with scattered shoes. To escape this, a tiered shelf can really help. If you want to completely hide it away, those leather type benches are perfect and can double as a spot to sit as you take your shoes off.
Wall Marks and Scuffs
It’s weird but common because honestly, we all have them. Scrub your walls at least once a year will help them look cleaner than ever. Spot cleaning from time to time can also help, especially around things like light sockets, doors and all around the kitchen. For actual stains, you can use any brand of the magic eraser type scrubbers.
Mismatched Bathroom Towels
When it comes to the towels hanging in your bathroom, make them all the same color. If not the same color, at least make them all match your bathroom decor. The idea is to keep your wild prints and beach towels in the closet for use and keep the matching towels in the bathroom to keep finished look.
Dark Heavy Window Treatments
We get it, they keep the sun out and the temperatures in. They look dark and heavy though and feel that way, too. Opt for light and airy linen curtains. If you must keep the dark ones, at least pull them to either side and put a lighter and see through color in the middle section. This way you can close them when you want to but have the option for natural light as well.
Fake Flowers
It’s weird but common to see fake flowers in place of real ones. But if it’s fake, chances are it makes you look cheap, too. Real plants can be pretty easy and here’s a couple you should try. Succulents are easy in that they don’t need much water. These are the plants all the memes are about, to never water, never water, never water, never water and then when you water, they die. Succulents are fine on their own and need a *little* water, very rarely. Other easy plants include pothos, snake plants and ZZ plants. Bring a plant home and see how it does, you won’t know until you do.
