There are so many things which need to be cleaned and organised in your home that there are some things which probably get missed by mistake, but are still really important to keep fresh. Take your shower, for instance. The likelihood is that you use it every day, but when was the last time you gave it a good freshen-up?
TikToker @purdyandfigg posted a video to show cleaning fans the best method to make sure showers are left sparkly and clean, without much effort at all. At the start of the video it says: “Things in your home you should clean but probably forget about”.

As the video progresses, the camera gets closer to the shower, hinting that’s the area the TikTok will focus on.
The video then zooms into the shower head, as the voiceover says: “Shower taps can get filled with dirt and limescale.”
The TikToker then suggested a quick and easy way you can clean the shower without putting in much effort at all.
The video continued: “Hack: Fill a bag with white vinegar and leave for 30 minutes.
“It’s so much easier than scrubbing and makes it so clean and shiny.”
The TikTok is also captioned: “White vinegar to the rescue!”, which seems accurate as this hack takes barely any effort at all.
According to Real Homes, the method is simple. You just need to pour the vinegar into a plastic zipper bag, enough to fill it halfway.
Put the plastic bag around the shower head so the holes and shower head are completely submerged in the liquid. Then, secure the bag using an elastic band and leave to soak for several hours – or ideally, overnight.
People in the comments praised the hack, saying that they didn’t know how they coped without it.
One wrote: “YES i do this all the time. It’s INSANE how I used to live before this.”
“How often should this be done?”, another user queried, and the content creator responded: “Once a month”.
“This helps, thanks”, someone else praised.
Further down in the comments, @purdyandfigg explained that this is an alternative to ‘harsh toxic chemicals’ if you’d prefer to use something a little more ‘natural’.
Another wrote: “I didn’t know you could clean that with vinegar! Thank you for this!”
One TikToker said their mum taught them this hack, commenting: “Used this hack since forever, learned it from my mum. Definitely can recommend.”
