Who plays in the Peach Bowl this year? Teams, date, schedule for 2022 CFP semifinal game

The Peach Bowl has been played for more than five decades, but for the third time, the game will serve as a College Football Playoff semifinal on New Year’s Eve.

The last Peach Bowl playoff game was historic. LSU’s Joe Burrow threw seven touchdown passes in the first half alone in a rout of Oklahoma that put the Tigers within a win of a national championship. Will the eventual champion run through Atlanta again this time around?

If Georgia is selected to play in the Peach Bowl, it will have a serious home-field advantage, but anything can happen on this stage.

Who plays in the Peach Bowl 2022?

The Peach Bowl will feature two of the four College Football Playoff teams, as chosen by the selection committee. This section will be updated when the matchups are revealed.

The committee also determines whether the Peach Bowl will host the No. 1 seed vs. the No. 4 seed, or the No. 2 seed vs. the No. 3. Because the committee attempts to give the advantage to the highest seed, Georgia would almost certainly play in the Peach Bowl if it remains No. 1.
