If you have an iPhone, you might be delighted to know you have likely videoed special moments without realising. And some phone users could have hundreds or thousands of clips hidden within their Photos app that they have never seen. Thankfully, there’s a simple trick to watch the recordings – and relive the memories they captured.
You can find the videos if you have used the Live Photo feature before. The photo tool helps you to capture the best shot by recording 1.5 seconds before and after you have taken a photo. As many users will know, you can then scroll through the footage and select your favourite photo.

However, this is not the only way you can use the extra clips.
You can also transform a series of Live Photos taken together into a video. But to do this you’ll first need to sync them together, using a little-known iPhone trick.
Photographer @kelly.fiance shared how to use the feature in a TikTok video, which has racked up over one million views.
Talking to the camera in a video titled “iPhone hack I bet you didn’t know”, she explains: “If you took a bunch of live photos and want to turn them into a video, go to your camera roll.
“Select all the Live photos you want to use, click the little share icon, tap save as video. It will stitch them all together and save it as a video on your camera roll.”

And viewers were left amazed by the hack, with many realising they had recorded important milestones without realising.
“OMG! Im finally able to have an engagement video! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!” wrote one person.
A second said: “Wait I actually DIDN’T know this about the stitching thank you!!”
However, some commenters reported struggling to find the option.
Offering advice, a tech-savvy viewer added: “If you don’t see the option, just make sure all the live pics you selected are the same orientation. Then you’ll have the option!”
