Mike Itkis is attempting to unseat political powerhouse Representative Jerry Nadler. His platform includes sex positivity and he says he supports legalizing sex work.
The closer we get to the 2022 election season the more this candidate is ramping up his campaign. He’s hoping his latest stunt, the release of a sex tape, will help him come out on top.
Or in the least to get his name out there.
Running in New York’s 12th district, Mike Itkis is fighting against longtime Democrat Jerry Nadler who won a June primary over fellow NYC political Carolyn Maloney. As an independent, Itkis is running off of his platform in which sex positivity and legal sex work is very important to him.
Itkis was willing to bare all to show he’s got bite in that bark, but not with an interview. He instead filmed and released the sex tape he made with an adult porn star. He hoped this would pump up support for himself and get his name into the race, and out to the people.
According to the cybersecurity specialist and major in the U.S. Army Reserves, he calls his video a conversation piece. You know, the one that he posted to a pornographic website? Ya, that one.
“If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue. And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform,” he said.
Itkis calls himself a “liberal independent candidate” who is “not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist.”
Though cybersecurity is at the top of his list, obviously his top issues have to do with his bottom half, if you know what I’m saying. He doesn’t go into much detail about his positions.
He is pro-choice as a candidate and his website does say that he wants to “redefine abortion debate as a right to unplanned sex.” One of several bullet points on the topic also states that “Men should not be required to support biological children without prior agreement.
