Ecuador vs. Senegal live: World Cup score, highlights, result from 2022 Group A match

Ecuador and Senegal will be facing off in their Group A finale with the winner clinching a berth in the Round of 16.

A draw would also see Ecuador go through, though that would complicate matters for Senegal, who would need to hope Qatar somehow beats the Netherlands in the other Group A match.

Both teams have had strong showings in the group stage thus far with Ecuador winning the inaugural match against Qatar and drawing European power Netherlands 1-1. Forward Enner Valencia has scored all three of Ecuador’s goals and sits atop the scoring table.

African champions Senegal are playing without injured captain Sadio Mane, but they still played the Netherlands close in their opener, conceding two late goals to drop their opener. But they recovered nicely against Qatar for a 3-1 win that puts them in contention for a spot in the knockouts.
