Paris Hilton has opened up about the support she received from her longtime friend Kim Kardashian during her journey to motherhood. In an interview with Glamour UK, Paris shared that Kim had advised her on IVF and surrogacy, which eventually led to her and her husband, Carter Reum, welcoming their baby boy, Phoenix Barron, via a surrogate. Paris revealed that she had frozen her eggs after Kim shared her experience with IVF.
Paris and Carter had been considering starting a family before the pandemic hit, and they decided to freeze embryos in preparation for having a child. The couple went through the process seven times, and they ended up with 20 male embryos. They eventually used a surrogate to carry their son and are now considering having another child to “see if there’s any girls.”
While Paris has always known that she would use a surrogate to have children, she admitted to being scared of the child birthing process because of past experiences. However, she is grateful for Kim’s advice and guidance, as well as for her doctor, Dr. Huang, who she shares with Kim.
Paris expressed her desire to enjoy a normal life with her family and expressed her gratitude for Kim’s support in making her dream of motherhood a reality. Their close friendship and mutual support have been evident throughout the years, and it is heartening to see the positive impact they have had on each other’s lives.
