Warriors’ Klay Thompson ejected after jawing with Suns guard with Devin Booker

There’s a first for everything!

In a chippy encounter in Phoenix, things got heated between the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns, resulting in Klay Thompson being ejected — the first ejection of his NBA career.

Early in the third quarter, Thompson and Suns guard Devin Booker got into it, jawing back and forth after the Warriors guard swatted away his shot, with the officials handing out double technicals.

Thompson continued jawing with Booker and received a second technical foul for his trouble, seeing him ejected from the game.

On his way to the locker room, Thompson continued his tirade, gesturing towards the Suns bench, before heading down the tunnel.

Tuesday night’s contest was the 651st regular season game of Thompson’s career, bringing an end to his streak on what was a frustrating night.

He exited the game with two points and two assists on 1-of-8 shooting from the field and 0-of-5 from the 3-point line.

The Warriors trailed 81-76 at the time of Thompson’s ejection and the Suns ran away with the contest from there, cruising to a 134-105 win on their home court.
